MARKHAM LUTHERAN CHURCH - Baptized to serve.
at Markham Lutheran Church!

Markham Lutheran Church (MLC) is a friendly, unpretentious congregation established in Markham, Illinois almost 80 years ago.  The awareness that God loves us at his own expense moves us to worship and serve him, sharing God's love with one another
and our community
The Lutheran Church is a sacramental church, which can be summed up in the phrase "God always comes down:"  by grace through Baptism, God's Word, and Holy Communion. At worship, we meet God's grace in the word, water, bread, and wine. Through these means, God strengthens us in our confidence and faith in him and our love and concern for each other and the world.
As a visitor, we welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ.  As a prospective member, we invite you to discover how becoming a part of our church family may serve your needs, and to explore how your talents may be used in the Lord's work in our congregation
and the community.

Come celebrate Jesus!

Time to Return Your Palms

On the Transfiguration of Our Lord/Last Sunday after Epiphany, March 3, 2019, we'll burn our palms from Palm Sunday 2018, as is our custom at MLC. They will be used to create the ashes for our Ash Wednesday service on March 6, 2019. Please bring your  palms to church between now and March 3.

All we are and all that we have, including our financial resources, belong to God. We are the Church!

Many thanks for remembering Markham Lutheran in your 2019 gift giving! (You don't have to have a PayPal account to use the service.)
