MARKHAM LUTHERAN CHURCH - Baptized to serve.
Sunday Services and More
In worship God reminds us that we are his own, especially through the celebration and remembrance of our baptism. Our lives and our community  are founded  on God's Word, which reveals our need of his grace and freely offers that grace. God nourishes us in the Holy Meal and sends us to live as Christ's body in the world. Through worship, the church witnesses to and is drawn into God's own purpose of reconciling the world to himself. Worship is the way God gathers people to witness to and participate in his work of reconciliation.

Growing spiritually doesn't happen when we merely know what Jesus says. It happens when we apply his radical way. Transformation happens best within the context of community. To grow spiritually, we have to be in relationship with God and one another.

Time to Return Your Palms

On the Transfiguration of Our Lord/Last Sunday after Epiphany, March 3, 2019, we'll burn our palms from Palm Sunday 2018, as is our custom at MLC. They will be used to create the ashes for our Ash Wednesday service on March 6, 2019. Please bring your  palms to church between now and March 3.
