MLC's Mission/Stewardship Projects
Our Stewardship Committee, under the leadership of Mary Molnar, chooses a different project every month. We've helped agencies that serve the homeless, such as PADS, food pantries, Hope Community Services, animal welfare agencies, including PAWS, collected school supplies for needy students at a local elementary school, and donated Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets of food, clothing and toys and gifts of cash and gift cards to struggling folks in our community.
July and August's focus: School supplies (We're also collecting used printer cartridges)
"Just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." (Matthew 24:40, NRSV)
If you want to help victims of natural disasters, war, famine, or illnesses such as malaria or ebola, etc., in our own country and around the world, but aren't sure what organization you can trust

MLC will no longer be accepting paper materials for recycling! You can leave your recyclable paper and magazines in the bin at St. Gerard Majella Roman Catholic Church, 16130 Clifton Park Ave.
We will happily accept cans. It's better to wait and bring cans when the church is open so that they can be left in the west entry vestibule. The money received is added to the monthly offerings.
Please bring your used printer cartridges to the church and drop them in the designated box in the narthex. We turn them in and earn credits for teachers/schools.
